In 2018, we worked with UConn Hartford to revive one of Hartford’s most wonderful holiday traditions, the Hartford Times Carol Sing.
For years in the 1960s and ’70s, Christmas carol sings were held on the majestic steps of 10 Prospect Street when the elegant Beaux Arts building was the headquarters of the Hartford Times newspaper. Since the paper folded in 1976, the building has withered, until UConn revived it in 2017.
Steve Mitchell leads this "new" and growing community singing event is a re-creation of the long time caroling event that flourished in downtown Hartford back in the day .
