Winterfest Hartford

Winterfest Hartford is a Hartford holiday tradition for families near and far in Connecticut. In 2011, the City of Hartford wanted to provide more winter activities for residents and activate Bushnell Park. A small skating rink was installed in the Southeast corner of the Park. Today, the rink is 100x100, and is open the day after Thanksgiving until the first or second week in January. Winterfest provides free skating, free skate lessons and free skate rentals for over 40 days. The event is made possible by the generous support of corporations, foundations and individual donors. The iQuilt Partnership raises funds, coordinates the calendar and special events and hires all contractors to install and operate the rink.
