LEGO Hartford

A dedicated group of volunteers from the Connecticut chapter of the Adult Friends of LEGO (AFOL) worked over 550 person hours to complete a LEGO model of Downtown Hartford during the first quarter of 2016. This model is used as a tool for planners, architects, and the public to visualize and build what they would like to see happen to vacant lots, on roadways, and to share their visions for renovation and reconstruction. It demonstrates connections between the various downtown areas, specifically between the DoNo project, XL Center, Bushnell Park, Connecticut Square, and Coltsville National Historical Park.

The white architectural bricks were donated by LEGO. The model has over 20,000 bricks.
